Dog friendly Pubs, Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in Scotland!
OK, I can't guarantee that the information on here is correct, but I'm 99% certain that it is. If you own, or know of, a dog friendly establishment, then email it to me and I'll get someone to put it on here! (It does help if they sell mini-cheddars).
I'll have to get the male person that I own to take me to some more pubs, to see if they allow dogs in. He says that it's a nuisance, but he'll do it if he really has to...
Incidentally, the male person that I own would like to point out (because he's into law and boring stuff) that there is no (Scottish) legislation that stipulates that dogs are not permitted in dining areas; only in food preparation areas, ie., kitchens.

The Village Inn*, Kirtlebridge, Dumfries and Galloway (No website as yet). Very dog friendly. Have their own dog, Dillon.
The Osprey Hotel*, Kingussie Website Very dog friendly. Have their own dogs, Rosie and Phoebe.
The Brig Inn*, Brydekirk, Dumfries and Galloway (No website). Dogs welcome in the public bar.
The Kirkwall Hotel*, Kirkwall, Orkney Website Dog friendly.
The Merkister Hotel*, Harray, Orkney Website Dogs welome in the lounge bar after food has stopped being served, around 8.30pm.
The Cressfield Hotel*, Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway Website Dogs welcome in the lounge bar after food has stopped being served, around 8.30pm. In our experience, this has not been rigidly enforced, so you may get away with going in before that.
The Star Hotel*, Kingussie Website Dogs welcome in non-food serving areas.
Thorntonloch House B&B, Dunbar Website Dog friendly.
The Pomona Inn*, Finstown, Orkney. No website. Hmm. Might be. I'm OK because they know me, but best to ask first.
The Smithfield Hotel*, Dounby, Orkney Website Only in the vestibule bit outside the public bar. ** Under new ownership, so may have changed **
The Kinlochbervie Hotel, Kinlochbervie, Sutherland. Website Dog friendly. A clue is the dog toys and biscuits behind the bar :-).
The Blue Bell*, 10 High Street, Annan. No website. Dog friendly.
The Station Inn*, Kirkpatrick Fleming, Dumfries and Galloway. Well behaved dogs (that's me!) welcome in the public bar. Meals and Lunches available for humans.
The George Hotel*, Inveraray, Argyll. Website Dogs permitted in the public bar and in the beer garden.
Loch Melfort Hotel, Oban, Argyll. Website Dogs welcome (fee payable if pets are staying in owners room).
The Cromarty Arms, Cromarty. Website As far as I know, dog friendly.
Ardanaiseig Hotel, Kilchrenan by Taynuilt, Argyll. Website As far as I know, dogs welcome.
